Job Title: Surgical Technologist

ChristianaCare is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Elk Mills, Maryland.

About the Role:

The Surgical Technologist will provide patient care and environmental cleaning in the operating rooms before and after surgical procedures to ensure safe patient outcomes under the direction of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patient care team in transferring patients to and from bed/stretcher
  • Assist patient care team in positioning patients on Procedure Area table or holding patient extremity for skin prep
  • Transport patients to and from Procedure Area or department
  • Provide necessary equipment/supplies for patient care team
  • Restock specialty carts with supplies
  • Maintain par level of supplies
  • Perform between case cleaning procedures
  • Return used soft goods and instrument sets appropriately
  • Handle contaminated instrument trays, carts, specimens, and body fluids
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer skills
  • BLS required
  • Able to work flexible hours for training and support of the needs of the unit
