Job Title: Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at ChristianaCare. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the surgical team in providing skilled care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in scrubbing on a wide range of procedures.
  • Utilize aseptic technique and handle instruments/equipment in the OR with precision.
  • Participate in the planning of care for patients of all ages, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, employees, and physicians verbally and in writing.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Operating Room Technician program or minimum 2-year ORT experience preferred.
  • Cardiac experience.
  • BCLS certification.
  • Certification by an approved certification body, such as the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) and/or the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) (CST) and 1 Year OR Experience.
