About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at ChristianaCare. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our surgical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team in preparing patients for surgery, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Maintain a sterile environment during surgical procedures, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families before, during, and after surgery.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that all necessary steps are taken to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program with clinical hours completed.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Certification by an approved certification body (CST) and 1 year of experience preferred.
