Clinical Technician Specialist

The Clinical Technician II plays a vital role in the healthcare team, working under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities include performing routine duties, observing patient changes, maintaining a clean and safe environment, transporting patients, and other related tasks.
Clinical Technicians must possess excellent communication and nursing skills to effectively care for patients.
Education:A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with equivalent experience as defined in the CORE skills for Clinical Technician II.
Completion or enrollment in a Clinical Technician II program or equivalent is also necessary.
Experience:At least six months of experience as a Clinical Technician I or equivalent clinical experience is required.
Student nurses who have successfully completed medical/surgical clinical experiences and didactic are also eligible.
Certification/Licensure:BLS certification is mandatory.
Physical Requirements:The Clinical Technician II must possess the physical capabilities to perform the job's essential functions, including exerting force to move objects and coping with mental and emotional stress.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Working Conditions:The Clinical Technician II works in a well-lighted/ventilated office/clinical setting, subject to frequent interruptions and long hours.
They may be required to work beyond normal working hours, including overtime and on-call shifts.
Routine occupational exposure to infectious diseases, blood-borne pathogens, and hazardous chemicals is possible.
The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is necessary for instances of exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious processes.
