Clinical Technician, Orthopedic Care Specialist

Clinical Technicians play a vital role in the healthcare team, providing direct patient care and supporting the nursing staff in the Total Joint unit. This dynamic environment requires individuals who are empathetic, have excellent communication and nursing skills, and are able to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine duties involving patient care, including activities of daily living and observing changes in patient status.
- Provide a clean and safe environment for patients, including maintaining asepsis and adhering to infection control protocols.
- Transport patients and assist with mobility and transfers.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care and communication.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Equivalent experience as a Clinical Technician I or completion of a Clinical Technician II program.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of six education hours related to current role.
The Total Joint unit is a 21-bed unit that provides preoperative and postoperative care to patients aged 15 and up. Our population includes Total Joint patients, orthopedic patients, general surgery patients, and medical patients. We work closely with physical therapy to ensure early mobilization and a sooner recovery for our patients.
