Purpose and Scope:

The Clinical Technician II plays a vital role in the healthcare team, working under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. This position requires empathy, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform direct patient care and activities of daily living
  • Observe changes in patient status and provide a clean and safe environment
  • Transport patients and perform other related duties
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Equivalent experience or completion of a Clinical Technician II program
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum of six education hours related to the current role
Working Conditions:

The Clinical Technician II works in a well-lighted and ventilated office/clinical setting, subject to frequent interruptions and long hours. The position requires the ability to cope with mental and emotional stress, operate office machines safely, and push patients on stretchers, wheelchairs, or beds from one area to another.

Physical Requirements:
  • Very hard work: Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Cope with the mental and emotional stress associated with this position
  • Operate office machines safely and in accordance with hospital Safety Standards
