Overview: The Assistant Manager oversees all aspects of restaurant operations to guarantee exceptional customer service and high-quality food offerings in the absence of the General Manager. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and accurate preparation of meals while delivering outstanding customer experiences in a well-maintained environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervises a team of approximately three to fifteen staff members.
  • Conducts on-the-job training for new and existing employees.
  • Manages the ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning, and paper supplies to minimize waste and theft.
  • Assists in overseeing food preparation, sales, and service.
  • Forecasts food requirements and estimates consumption levels for each shift.
  • Ensures efficient food preparation and service operations during peak times.
  • Delivers world-class customer service to every guest.
  • Coordinates deliveries and supervises drivers to enhance delivery efficiency.
  • Handles daily food preparation tasks, including opening procedures and production.
  • Completes closing procedures at the end of shifts.
  • Implements systems and procedures with complete accuracy and integrity.
  • Maintains daily and weekly operational paperwork.
  • Accountable for the cash drawers throughout the shift.
  • Reviews the previous shift's operations for compliance and accuracy.
  • Performs routine maintenance and upkeep on equipment and supplies.
  • Undertakes additional related tasks as necessary.

Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English is essential. Strong mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, fractions, and percentages, are required. Familiarity with personal computers and software applications such as Excel and Word is necessary.

The role demands the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, talk, and hear, with close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception. Occasionally, the position requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Additional Requirements: Flexibility to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver's license, have reliable transportation, maintain current automobile insurance, and have a clean driving record. Physical stamina to work 50-60 hours per week is also required.
