We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Wexford Health Sources. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide medical services to inmates in a correctional facility setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a broad range of medical services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of medical concerns.
- Perform paraprofessional medical services of an advanced technical nature, including administering medication and injections, suturing wounds, and providing wound care.
- Coordinate with other healthcare employees to deliver care and ensure proper medical practices are observed.
- Examine patients, recognize and interpret symptoms of patient conditions, and participate in remedial measures and technical decisions based on sound medical practice and knowledge.
- Order medications and lab/diagnostic tests as necessary, and utilize EMR for charting and documenting patient information.
- Current New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license
- Current New Mexico Controlled Substance license
- Current DEA registration
- Advanced Practice Nurse certification
- Current CPR certification
- Graduate of an Advanced Practice Nurse program
2 years of clinical experience, preferably in correctional healthcare.
