Job Title: LPN

GSK Solutions is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Las Cruces, NM. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the LPN delivers efficient and effective nursing care while operating within the scope of practice defined by the State Nurse Practice Act. The LPN contributes to nursing assessments and care planning, provides direct patient care, and supervises patient care provided by unlicensed staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient evaluations and develop care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patient care provided by unlicensed staff and perform drug counts as necessary.
  • Assist physicians in rounds and examinations, as needed.
  • Participate in shift-to-shift communication between nursing staff and collaborate with other departments to provide timely and effective care.
  • Enhance nursing practice by attending mandated in-service programs and assisting with the orientation of new nursing staff.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
  • Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
  • Experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing preferred.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
