Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Application Analyst to join our team at The University of Texas at Austin. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert and technical contact for Epic Patient Engagement, providing support to end-users and collaborating with technical colleagues to identify and resolve infrastructure-related issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, configure, test, and maintain clinical information systems with a focus on integrated multi-specialty ambulatory care.
  • Serve as a liaison between business operations and providers, internal information technology, system users, and vendors to resolve issues and problems.
  • Provide support to end-users, monitoring, investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving incoming tickets.
  • Coordinate system fixes and changes with software vendors and deploy application changes with the training team and operations.
  • Create test scripts, timelines, and plans for application and workflow changes.
  • Perform actual testing of clinical information system configuration and processes.
  • Collaborate with technical colleagues to identify infrastructure-related issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a health, science, or business field, or four years of related professional experience.
  • Two years of Epic experience.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical information systems, clinical informatics, data management, and administration.
  • Experience in information systems implementation, development, and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.
  • Active Epic Certification or Accreditation in relevant Core application.
  • Demonstrated experience working with clinicians in a support and/or educational role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five to seven years of previous clinical information systems experience or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience as a major participant in an EHR.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Associated Certification, Accreditation, or Proficiency in Epic MyChart, Epic Welcome, and Epic Canto/Haiku.
Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $75,000, depending on qualifications. The University of Texas at Austin offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
