Job Summary:

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking an experienced Application Analyst to join our team in the Office of Information Technology. As an Application Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, building, configuring, testing, and maintaining clinical information systems with a focus on integrated multi-specialty ambulatory care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, configure, test, and maintain clinical information systems with a focus on integrated multi-specialty ambulatory care.
  • Serve as a liaison between business operations and providers, internal information technology, system users, and vendors to resolve issues and problems.
  • Provide support to end-users, including remote and in-person support, and coordinate system fixes and changes with software vendors.
  • Create test scripts, timelines, and plans for application and workflow changes, and perform actual testing of clinical information system configuration and processes.
  • Collaborate with technical colleagues to identify infrastructure-related issues that have resulted in clinical application issues.
  • Provide ongoing end-user clinical information systems support with all upgrades, new releases, enhanced functionality, and requested change and problem management support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a health, science, or business field, or four years of related professional experience supporting clinical, ancillary, or business environments.
  • Two years of Epic experience.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical information systems, clinical informatics, data management, and administration.
  • Experience and proven success in information systems implementation, development, and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.
  • Active Epic Certification or Accreditation in relevant Core application required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred 5-7 years previous clinical information systems experience or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience as a major participant in an EHR configuration.
  • Ability to work with senior staff and managers, serving as a technical resource and providing advice and counsel on issues of functionality, efficiency, and performance.

Salary Range: $75,000 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions:
