Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and immunizations under the direction of a physician
- Perform venipuncture and other patient services
- Assist with simple office and minor surgical procedures
- Provide education to patients and families as directed by the physician
- Perform laboratory duties, including drawing, spinning, and prepping blood for testing
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (AHA) or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross) certification
- Nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or ability to obtain within 180 days
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant back office, medical assisting experience
- Solid phlebotomy skills
