About the Role:

The Lab Medical Assistant II is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for collecting, receiving, and processing inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing. This role requires strong communication skills, as you will work closely with nursing staff to ensure accurate specimen collection and processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collecting and processing inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
  • Communicating with nursing staff regarding patient specimens
  • Referring specimens to outside laboratories as needed
  • Interacting with physicians, clients, and staff regarding referral lab tests
  • Performing phlebotomy procedures

Requirements:

  • 6 months of experience in phlebotomy, laboratory-related field, or related field
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Driver's license
