About the Role

This position plays a vital role in cultivating meaningful relationships and providing exceptional customer service to program residents and occupants at the YMCA of Southern Maine. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a positive experience for our members and program participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide helpful, friendly, and professional customer service to members and program participants.
  • Process applications, manage waitlists, and receive and track rental payments.
  • Communicate house rules and ensure the safety of the building.
  • Convey the mission, purpose, image, and core values of the YMCA of Southern Maine.

Requirements:

  • Exercises good judgment around areas of responsibility.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Able to work with frequent distraction and interruptions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Extremely reliable, dependable, and punctual.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and learn software applications quickly.
  • A background in social work is preferred.
  • A criminal background check is required.
