Clinical Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Assistant to join our team at Central Ohio Primary Care. As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with our clinical care team to provide exceptional patient care.
- Foster a collaborative environment that enables effective communication between the care team, patients, and caregivers.
- Collaborate with other care team members to address gaps in care and optimize patient outcomes.
- Promote and facilitate improved clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and efficient resource utilization.
- Act as a patient advocate to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.
- Set up medical equipment, perform related tests, administer injections, and collect specimens as applicable.
- Responsible for vaccine administration, interview patients regarding medical concerns, and obtain medical history.
- Measure and record vital signs, including pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, height, and weight in patients' electronic health records (EHR).
- Responsible for blood draws, specimen processing, and assisting in routine medical procedures as requested.
- Prepare patients and treatment rooms for exams, review physician orders, and follow up as needed.
- Communicate test results to patients, assist with patient education, and maintain confidentiality in alignment with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with applicable forms and patient paperwork, respond to patient phone calls, and maintain a clean and well-organized work area.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Phlebotomist, Medical Assistant, LPN, or equivalent clinical background/training.
Skills and Abilities:
- Self-disciplined, energetic, passionate, and innovative.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
