Patient Financial Specialist FT Day Shift

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Financial Specialist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our financial services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient registration and financial information.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and validate patient information, including demographic and insurance data, to ensure accurate and complete registration.
- Verify and scan patient identification documents, including photo identification and insurance cards.
- Collect payments and facilitate resolution of billing questions and concerns.
- Review and discuss payment options with patients, including financial assistance programs and payment arrangements.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and clinical staff to provide excellent customer service and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Utilize computer systems and software to verify patient information, collect payments, and facilitate communication with patients and staff.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including electronic medical records and billing information.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on regulatory requirements, billing procedures, and patient financial services best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care and financial services.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare or financial services setting, with a focus on patient registration, billing, and financial services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, physicians, and clinical staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex billing and financial issues.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software, including electronic medical records and billing systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position working day shift. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
