Key Responsibilities- Collect and validate accurate and complete patient information, including demographic and insurance data.
- Verify and scan patient identification documents, including photo identification and insurance cards.
- Collect payments and facilitate resolution of billing questions and concerns.
- Review and discuss payment options with patients, including financial assistance programs.
- Update patient records and billing information as necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a physician's office, clinic, hospital business office, or related area dealing with the public in collection of data and funds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems, including CPT and ICD-10.
