Position Summary:

The Quarterly Variable Compensation (QVC) Technical Analyst plays a crucial role in the updating, testing, and deployment of our Varicent Compensation Tool. This position involves collaborating with the administration team to gather requirements and translate them into actionable plans within the system.

We are looking for an analyst with a strong background in Varicent Software configuration, who has experience in developing plans, reporting, and workflows within the Varicent platform. This role will report to the Associate Director overseeing Varicent Software for UnitedHealthcare.

You will have the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. while tackling significant challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance data models within the Varicent ICM platform.
  • Assist team members and users in resolving application-related issues, including the integration of plan designs within the Varicent ICM system and reporting dashboards to track plan status.
  • Analyze requirements and design system tables/components using structured analysis, data modeling, and information engineering techniques.
  • Plan and execute comprehensive testing (including test plans, test cases, and test scripts) for assigned enhancements to business applications.
  • Review and analyze applications, including performance metrics, to provide recommendations for enhancements and process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues across all areas of assigned products by gathering detailed problem descriptions, traces, and log files, and replicating issues.
  • Regularly update leadership on the progress of investigations or other assigned tasks.
  • Engage in cross-collaboration with other developers and peers as part of daily operations.
  • Share best practices for the effective utilization and deployment of Varicent products across the organization.
  • Develop Varicent reports based on user requirements and needs.
  • Maintain the latest capabilities of Varicent V10, including Symon, Augmented Intelligence (AI), Presenter Adaptive Reports, Workflows, and Inquiries Workflows.
  • Manage and document requirements, technical specifications, and end-user guides.
  • Ensure the completion of tasks, milestones, and components, including functional specifications, design specifications, configurations, quality assurance, implementations, and project reviews.
  • Collaborate with clients to troubleshoot production issues.
  • Serve as an implementation consultant for Sales Performance Management solutions.
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience working with Varicent Tool v9 and above.
  • Experience in building import processes, workflow processes, calculation logic, and reports (structured and presenter adaptive).
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex issues in existing code and configurations.

Preferred:

  • Varicent v10 Technical Specialist Certification.
  • Previous experience with variable compensation programs and systems.
  • Knowledge of SQL and Python.
  • Experience using API with the Varicent cloud tool.

The salary range for this role is competitive and based on various factors, including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
