Senior Financial Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Financial Analyst for Financial Planning & Analysis will play a pivotal role in supporting the Commercial and Corporate Functions FP&A team. This position encompasses comprehensive FP&A support for all Selling, General, and Administrative functions, along with overseeing the organization-wide planning and reporting consolidation initiatives. The role demands a high level of engagement with senior and executive leadership, contributing to the expansion of the Financial Planning and Analysis function.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Commercial FP&A Development:
- Lead the monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting, and annual budgeting processes for proprietary product revenue, gross-to-net discounts, and functional expense management.
- Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with the Chief Commercial Officer and the Commercial Leadership Team.
- Establish reporting KPIs and metrics for all commercial products.
- Collaborate closely with Managed Markets and Cost Accounting to enhance Gross-to-Net forecasting and optimization.
- Company-Wide Financial Consolidation:
- Oversee the Corporate Functions FP&A team.
- Facilitate the organization-wide financial planning and reporting processes.
- Prepare Executive and Board reporting packages.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of financial forecasts to inform strategic risk-taking decisions.
- Administer Financial Planning and Reporting Software, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in data management.
- Variance Analysis:
- Analyze variances and proactively communicate issues and opportunities to management.
- Provide insightful financial analytics to influence business leads.
- Develop sophisticated financial models and analytical tools to support informed financial and business decisions.
- Ensure high standards of quality, timeliness, and accuracy in all deliverables.
- Collaborate effectively with Senior Leadership and departmental heads.
- Engage in additional duties, projects, and process improvements as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a minimum of 12 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
- At least five years of FP&A experience in a similar capacity, with two years in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical sector.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong adaptability to finance system capabilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
- Experience in forecasting all financial statements.
- Understanding of Gross-to-Net accounting.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Adaptive Insights is a plus.
- Proficient in Windows and MS Office applications.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Physical Activities: This role requires prolonged periods at a desk, with occasional telephone communication and keyboard use. Some walking and lifting of up to 20 lbs may be necessary. The work environment typically has a low to moderate noise level.

Travel may be required up to 15% of the time.
