We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Advocate to join our team at Presbyterian Healthcare Services. As a Patient Access Advocate, you will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless patient experience from the moment they arrive at our facility.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome patients and visitors to our office, check them in, and process payments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and process necessary paperwork.
- Review patient files for accuracy and completeness, and maintain accurate records.
- Answer multiple phone lines and direct calls to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere that promotes patient satisfaction and loyalty.
- Ensure compliance with all company, state, and federal policies and regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; six months of healthcare experience or a background in customer service preferred.
- Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of insurance verification and healthcare insurance principles.
- One year of medical office experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and billing codes a plus.
