Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Advocate to join our team at Presbyterian Healthcare Services. As a Patient Access Advocate, you will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless patient experience from the moment they arrive at our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients and visitors to our office, check them in, and process payments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and process necessary paperwork.
  • Review patient files for accuracy and completeness, and maintain accurate records.
  • Answer multiple phone lines and direct calls to the appropriate department or staff member.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere that promotes patient satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, state, and federal policies and regulations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; six months of healthcare experience or a background in customer service preferred.
  • Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance verification and healthcare insurance principles.
  • One year of medical office experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and billing codes a plus.
