Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Staff Coordinator to join our team at the University of California. This role will be responsible for initiating and cultivating partnerships with department management, medical staff, and hospital leadership to ensure compliance and optimal efficiency for appropriate membership, credentialing, and privileges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate and cultivate partnerships with department management, medical staff, and hospital leadership
  • Ensure compliance and optimal efficiency for appropriate membership, credentialing, and privileges
  • Perform auditing functions according to facility bylaws, rules, and regulations
  • Facilitate and support committees and continuous performance improvement efforts
  • Implement policy and procedures, provide training and orientations to a variety of constituents
Requirements
  • Three years of relevant work experience in a similar environment
  • Proven ability to apply external regulatory guidelines and internal accounting and administrative policies knowledge and skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and coordinate with others throughout the department, hospital, and campus
  • Expert knowledge of TJC, NCQA, CMS, DHS, DMHC, ACGME, and other applicable accreditation/regulatory requirements
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM)
