Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze student transportation statistical information to assist in predicting transportation needs.
  • Document data on various forms to assess the effectiveness of transportation services offered.
  • Oversee daily operations for assigned educational institutions to ensure prompt and effective transportation services.
  • Coordinate transportation arrangements for special events, including educational field trips, sports activities, and academic enhancement programs.
  • Conduct regular assessments of route safety and efficiency, optimizing routes and suggesting changes to commuting areas as necessary.

Employment Conditions

To qualify, candidates must meet the experience requirements outlined below. Experience encompasses both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer roles through National Service programs and other organizations. All qualifying experience will be credited, and resumes must clearly outline relevant experience. If qualifying through education, transcripts will be required.

Specialized Experience @ GS-07: One year of specialized experience is required, which includes analyzing transportation requirement data, utilizing automated systems to support program needs, and recommending solutions for transportation operations. This experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in federal service (GS-06).

Competency Evaluation: Candidates will be assessed based on their proficiency in the following areas:

Additional Information

Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Applicants must adhere to the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements. The initial duration of this overseas assignment is 36 months.
