Position Overview:

The Sanitation Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the sanitation processes within the manufacturing facility, ensuring adherence to industry standards and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sanitation team in a 24/5 production environment, ensuring compliance with all sanitation protocols.
  • Monitor and uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and conduct regular audits to maintain high standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the production and distribution of quality products.
  • Develop and implement Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) in line with USDA and FDA regulations.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for sanitation staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct safety training sessions to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to sanitation activities and team performance.
  • Act as the primary contact for the facility's HACCP and Food Safety initiatives.
  • Manage scheduling and performance metrics to optimize team efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the sanitation department.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing setting, or a high school diploma with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
  • Familiarity with HACCP principles and food safety regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including 3rd shift.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Advanced degree in a related field.
