Description
We are looking to fill a vital role within our Food & Beverage department, responsible for the seamless execution of catered events on a daily basis. This position will ensure that our guests receive five-star service consistently.
Essential Functions of the Event Services Manager:
1. Maintain a safe and supportive working environment for all team members, free from any physical or psychological barriers, including safety hazards or harassment. Adhere to all resort safety protocols consistently.
2. Arrive at work punctually in the designated uniform and enforce this policy among all team members.
3. Present oneself in a professional manner at all times, demonstrating exemplary conduct both on and off the event floor.
4. Foster a positive workplace culture by teaching, training, and coaching team members, promoting a spirit of cooperation and teamwork, and proactively addressing event needs.
5. Meet all financial objectives set by the Director of Conference and Catering.
6. Assist in the annual budgeting process to accurately reflect the upcoming year's departmental business plan.
7. Exhibit sound financial judgment that contributes to profitability through revenue enhancement, budget management, and cost control.
8. Recognize the importance of every relationship with team members (internal guests) and maintain these connections.
9. Ensure comprehensive training for both new and existing team members, conduct annual performance reviews, and provide timely feedback regarding performance, offering discipline and praise in a fair and professional manner.
10. Empower team members to make decisions that enhance the guest experience.
11. Cultivate a positive work atmosphere devoid of gossip or harmful rumors.
12. Maintain open communication channels with team members at all levels.
13. Demonstrate initiative in fulfilling job responsibilities and willingly accept additional duties to reflect leadership and professional growth while adhering to resort policies.
14. Support participation in community initiatives endorsed by the hotel.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field, or equivalent experience in food and beverage operations.
