Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our team at Baptist Health. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate direct patient care activities and provide clinical support to providers
  • Check in patients, obtain vital signs, and perform medication reconciliation
  • Room patients, stock clinic supplies, and navigate electronic health records
  • Schedule appointments, follow up with patients, and assist with medication fill and refill requests
  • Communicate with pharmacies, insurance companies, patients, and physicians in a respectful manner
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate databases containing confidential information
  • Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate
  • One of the following: prior working experience in a medical office/clinic, Certified MA from the National Health Career Association, or completed an MA education program
Preferred Requirements
  • Current MA Certification from AAMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, or AAMP
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN program with current licensure without restrictions
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate databases containing confidential information
  • Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate
