Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner II to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapies to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to identify respiratory care needs
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to improve patient outcomes
  • Perform respiratory care procedures, including CPAP/BiPap, jet aerosol, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management
  • Monitor patient response to therapies and make recommendations for adjustments
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Provide education to patients and caregivers on respiratory care and disease management
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school for Respiratory Care
  • Current Respiratory Care License in the state of employment
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialed
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Two years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or five years of experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field
  • Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) certification
  • Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification
  • EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training
