We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner II to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional respiratory care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify respiratory care needs and develop individualized plans of care.
- Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and ventilator management, as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient responses to therapies and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Provide education and training to patients and their families on respiratory care and disease management.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical charts and documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory care technologies and techniques through ongoing education and training.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school for Respiratory Care.
- Current Respiratory Care License in the state of employment.
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialed.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred.
- Two years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or five years of experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) in a patient care setting.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Respiratory Therapy, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration.
- Advanced certifications, such as Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT).
- Experience working in a critical care or neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) environment.
