We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner II to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapies to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to identify respiratory care needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet patient goals
- Perform respiratory therapies, including CPAP/BiPap, jet aerosol, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management
- Monitor patient response to therapies and make recommendations for adjustments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Provide education to patients and caregivers on respiratory care and disease management
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school for Respiratory Care
- Current Respiratory Care License in the state of employment
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialed
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Two years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or five years of CRT experience in patient care settings
- Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field
- Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) certification
- Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training
