Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Project Manager to join our Planning, Permitting, and Licensing Practice. The successful candidate will report to our Albuquerque, New Mexico team and will be responsible for managing and permitting projects at the federal, state, and local levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and permit projects in the areas of renewable energy, electric generation and transmission, energy transition, and oil and gas.
  • Support development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of key permitting programs to support quality and strategic growth plans.
  • Author technical reports and consult with federal and state agencies for project compliance.
  • Coordinate field work, direct and support other technical staff, interact with clients, stakeholders, and contractors, and manage projects, budgets, invoicing, and schedules.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, natural resources, biology, ecology, or related field, and 10 to 12 years of post-degree experience.
  • Strong ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply environmental compliance and permitting regulations of applicable federal regulatory agencies, including, FERC, USACE, USFWS, and EPA.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply environmental compliance and permitting regulations of applicable state regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent verbal communication and technical communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or above in environmental science, natural resources, biology, ecology, or related field, and over 10 years of post-degree experience.
  • Certified Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS)
  • Certified Wildlife Biologist (CWB)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
