Position Overview:
The selected candidate will be responsible for the creation, revision, and maintenance of IT training materials.
They will gather information to develop engaging PowerPoint presentations, comprehensive IT Trainer Guides, Quick Reference Guides, User Manuals, Storyboards, Videos, and/or Computer-Based Training modules.
The candidate will collaborate with technical personnel to produce relevant training content and will maintain accurate records for tracking time, activities, performance indicators, and ensure the integrity of submitted data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow the directives, procedures, objectives, and guidance set forth by the Team Leader and IT management.
- Keep the Team Lead informed regarding work schedules, technical challenges, or any logistical concerns.
- Engage proactively with the Team Leader and IT management to address any potential issues or risks.
- Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of IT applications to effectively instruct and support learners.
- Coordinate and communicate training schedules and course offerings with end users and stakeholders.
- Ensure that training environments and necessary data are prepared prior to training sessions.
- Facilitate virtual classroom training, onsite classroom sessions, and webinars/user group meetings.
- Build effective relationships across the organization, including IT, Human Resources, and various business units, to identify and address training gaps and encourage class enrollment.
- Manage logistics for training sessions, including reserving conference rooms and equipment, confirming enrollments, and arranging travel as needed.
- Deliver engaging, interactive, and positive learning experiences for participants.
- Maintain professionalism and order within the training environment to achieve course objectives.
- Track enrollments, course attendance, completions, and assign appropriate scoring/grades within the Learning Management System (LMS). Distribute feedback surveys.
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping within the LMS, including timekeeping and performance reporting.
- Verify that travel expenses and related documentation are accurate.
- Submit expense reports through the appropriate channels in a timely manner.
- Adhere to travel policies and reimbursement procedures.
- Review and update training materials and documentation as necessary.
- Create effective training content tailored to the audience.
- Publish course materials as required.
- Participate in IT projects as needed.
- Provide user training support during IT product user acceptance testing, initial rollouts, and ongoing operations.
- Demonstrate adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused IT environment.
Required Skills:
- 5 years of experience with Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications.
- 4 years of education in communications, teaching, IT, or a related field; or an Associate Degree with 2 years of IT experience; or IT certifications with 4 years of IT experience.
- 4 years of work experience in IT technical training or with technology, IT applications/systems, and/or end-user client support.
- 5 years of excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and teaching skills in English.
- 1 year of flexibility to travel within the region for scheduled in-person training sessions.
Desired Skills:
- 4 years of experience in developing role-based end-user training content for IT applications/systems.
- 2 years of experience in instructional design, visual design, storyboarding, and writing instructional materials.
- 2 years of experience with Adobe Captivate.
- 2 years of experience with TechSmith Camtasia.
- 2 years of experience with Articulate 360/Storyline.
- 1 year of experience with Microsoft Teams.
- 1 year of experience maintaining training records within an LMS.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Oracle LMS/Workday LMS.
- Understanding of ServiceNow.
