Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing management and operational strategies, goals, and objectives for Interventional Radiology operations. This includes fostering a collaborative team-driven culture, overseeing staff schedules, and evaluating assigned technologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement management and operational strategies, goals, and objectives for Interventional Radiology operations.
  • Foster a collaborative team-driven culture, ensuring consistent engagement with IR technologists, nurses, and radiologists.
  • Oversee staff schedules, evaluate assigned technologists, and make authoritative recommendations regarding staff discharge.
  • Ensure adequate supply availability for interventional and therapeutic procedures.
  • Perform interventional procedures when necessary.
  • Monitor patient volume and equipment activity, ensuring staff is assigned to provide peak efficiency.
  • Establish work priorities, adjust technical staff's schedule as needed, and perform Interventional and therapeutic procedures when volume and staffing levels warrant.
  • Prepare and maintain work schedules, adjusting as necessary to address difficulties caused by illness, vacations, or emergency situations.
  • Ensure PTO policy is followed, minimizing the negative impact on operations.
  • Participate in maintenance and safety programs for equipment, reviewing logbooks monthly and bringing any continuing problems to the attention of the Administrative Director.
  • Initiate corrective action with technical service companies as equipment problems are encountered.
  • Make visual inspections of each room weekly, documenting all inspections and corrective actions taken.
  • Ensure all preventative maintenance is done on all equipment in a timely manner.
  • Review supplies used against work performed, monitoring present and future supply needs and taking action to acquire necessary supplies.
  • Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with physicians, nurses, and patient care departments to gather and exchange information, resolve problems, and improve services provided.
  • Review employee timecards, calculating time worked and ensuring time off is appropriately recorded.
  • Authorize overtime work for subordinates as needed.
  • Perform employee evaluations, recommending personnel actions such as promoting, disciplining, hiring, and changes in pay.
  • Ensure regulatory and Joint Commission compliance and readiness.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in Interventional Radiology.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) certification.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • NJDEP license.
  • Bi-lingual preferred.
