Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you'll be responsible for planning and implementing management and operational strategies, goals, and objectives. You'll foster a collaborative team-driven culture, oversee staff schedules, and evaluate assigned technologists. You'll also interview, hire, discipline, and make recommendations regarding staff discharge. Additionally, you'll ensure adequate supplies are available for interventional and therapeutic procedures, perform procedures when necessary, and monitor patient volume and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure technologists perform tasks as outlined in departmental procedures and take corrective action as needed.

• Establish work priorities and adjust schedules to ensure peak efficiency.

• Monitor patient volume and adjust staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.

• Perform interventional and therapeutic procedures when necessary.

• Prepare and maintain work schedules, adjusting as needed to address difficulties caused by illness, vacations, or emergencies.

• Ensure PTO policy is followed to minimize the negative impact on operations.

• Participate in maintenance and safety programs for equipment.

• Review equipment logbooks monthly and bring any continuing problems to the attention of the Administrative Director.

• Initiate corrective action with technical service companies as equipment problems arise.

• Conduct weekly inspections of each room to check for mechanical malfunctions, loose or frayed wires, and proper equipment operation.

• Document all weekly inspections and corrective actions taken, bringing unresolved problems to the attention of the clinical supervisor.

• Ensure all preventative maintenance is done on all equipment in a timely manner.

• Review supplies used against work performed, monitor present and future supply needs, and take action to acquire necessary supplies.

• Ensure supplies are always available within the IR department daily.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience preferred.

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) certification.

• Current BLS certification.

• NJDEP license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare experience.

• Workforce planning and scheduling experience.

• Performance metrics experience.

• Contact center technology experience.

• Communication skills.

• Bi-lingual preferred.
