We are looking for a proactive engineer with a strong background in designing, implementing, and enhancing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and automation technologies. Key Responsibilities
  • Enhance and continuously develop MES systems, focusing on automated data collection, historian applications, visualization, quality, and efficiency in manufacturing, SCADA, automated decision control, workflow, database applications, scheduling, and ERP system integration.
  • Possess a solid understanding of PLCs and HMIs.
  • Demonstrate experience with SQL programming and databases, providing technical support and troubleshooting for Maintenance and Operations departments as needed.
  • Conduct high-level technical analysis, including requirements gathering and gap analysis of user needs.
  • Assist in defining MES solution architectures and develop detailed design specifications for production.
  • Establish functional requirements through industry standards, documentation analysis, and Workflow Process Mapping (Value Stream Maps).
  • Actively engage in a technical project team, fostering effective relationships.
  • Collaborate with clients to define the overall technical strategy for MES solutions.
  • Regularly report on project progress against established timelines.
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning sessions.
  • Serve as the primary contact with machine vendors regarding technical standards and integration requirements.
  • Follow and enhance policies and procedures for documenting work, ensuring comprehensive documentation for all projects, including as-built drawings and revisions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work under tight deadlines while ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing systems engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience with strong problem-solving skills, ideally in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment with multiple priorities.
  • Expertise in Industrial Automation and Manufacturing Execution Systems (production control and ERP).
  • Proficient in PLC & HMI Design and Programming.
  • Experienced in VFD Configuration and Commissioning.
  • Knowledgeable in Robotics Programming and interfacing.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical and AutoCAD Inventor.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with capabilities in Time Management, Technical Analysis, and Project Management.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
