Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment, and visually inspecting tools and machinery.
  • Identify and locate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb and A/C filter replacement.
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system to ensure safe maintenance practices.
  • Perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Train and mentor other engineers and maintenance staff as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, and vocational or technical background in a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting.
  • Valid Driver's License and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders, and enter and locate work-related information using computers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in hotel engineering/maintenance.
  • Supervisory experience.
