Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer II to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, and replacing filters and other consumables.
  • Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical background preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting.
  • Valid driver's license and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and to move up and down stairs and service ramps.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in hotel engineering/maintenance, with knowledge of hotel systems and equipment.
  • Supervisory experience, with ability to train and mentor other engineers.
  • Knowledge of engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems.
