Job Summary

  • Supervise kitchen staff to maintain set standards, procedures, and sanitation requirements.
  • Operate kitchen equipment, including knives, grills, ovens, steamers, and warmers, to prepare high-quality dishes.
  • Manage kitchen inventory and ensure the availability of fresh and high-quality supplies.
  • Familiarize yourself with inventory management, recipe development, and standardization, as well as standard food handling procedures.
  • Maintain proper food temperatures during cooking and storage.
  • Keep the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized, and sanitized.
  • Assume responsibility for kitchen opening, closing, and other duties as directed by the Executive Chef.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Current Food Handling or ServSafe Certification, or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hiring.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds.
  • Fluency in job-related English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service and strong customer service skills.
  • Flexibility and creative problem-solving ability.
  • Strong initiative and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
