- Prepare and cook meals to meet the high standards of our guests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure accurate measurement and portioning of ingredients in the kitchen.
- Supervise kitchen staff to maintain set standards, procedures, and sanitation requirements.
- Operate kitchen equipment, including knives, grills, ovens, steamers, and warmers, to prepare high-quality dishes.
- Manage kitchen inventory and ensure the availability of fresh and high-quality supplies.
- Familiarize yourself with inventory management, recipe development, and standardization, as well as standard food handling procedures.
- Maintain proper food temperatures during cooking and storage.
- Keep the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized, and sanitized.
- Assume responsibility for kitchen opening, closing, and other duties as directed by the Executive Chef.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Current Food Handling or ServSafe Certification, or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hiring.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds.
- Fluency in job-related English and Spanish is preferred.
- Commitment to exceptional customer service and strong customer service skills.
- Flexibility and creative problem-solving ability.
- Strong initiative and self-motivation.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
