About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Life Safety Service Sales Representative, Electronic to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling Electronic Fire Service offerings to various customers and end users within assigned territories and accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire sales process, from uncovering opportunities to closing deals and providing ongoing customer service.
- Work closely with other sales, technical, design engineering, service, support, and management teams to meet customer needs.
- Assume account representative/account management responsibility, including the provision and coordination of services to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Quickly identify and qualify opportunities using excellent sales, presentation, and closing techniques.
- Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of company product offerings.
- Conduct building surveys to support the development of estimates.
- Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog to support achieving designated sales plan objectives.
- Develop financial justifications, prepare proposals, make presentations, and perform necessary follow-up for successful closing of sales.
- Close sales to meet or exceed sales plan objectives.
- Investigate and resolve customer problems related to delivery dates, billings, financing, and other matters.
- Maintain established accounts through regular customer contact to pursue additional sales.
- Perform periodic market investigations within assigned territories to develop new applications and provide sales forecasting.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all sales-related activities.
Requirements
- Highly self-motivated and success-driven individual with a high energy level and strong desire to succeed.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to persuade and close sales.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Minimum two years of successful sales or technical experience in the fire alarm, security control, and monitoring industry, or equivalent technical experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering.
- Ability to obtain NICET certification within the first 12 months of employment.
- Experience working with electrical contractors, ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Computer experience, including familiarity with Word, Excel, and job costing systems, Microsoft and Oracle programs.
