Position Summary:
Every member of our team starts as a sales representative. We are committed to delivering an outstanding customer experience. We expect all team members to provide friendly, helpful, and efficient service. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting sales area. As a resale establishment, we acquire most of our inventory from our customers, accepting items from all seasons throughout the year. Team members also assist in managing our backstock storage area and are trained as buyers.

Compensation Package:
Promotions come with wage increases, enhanced employee discounts, and additional incentive pay opportunities. We also provide an Employee Retirement Savings Plan, matching the first 3% of pay at 100%.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will consistently bring their best to work—being upbeat, respectful, and eager to deliver exceptional customer service. Given the high volume of customer interactions and incoming merchandise, the ability to work with focus, pace, and efficiency is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers promptly, assess their needs, and manage all interactions in a friendly, enthusiastic, and professional manner.
  • Familiarize yourself with the merchandise, brands, and pricing, understanding their features and benefits.
  • Assist customers throughout the sales process, enhancing sales and customer satisfaction by suggesting additional items.
  • Evaluate items brought to the store for purchase and accurately log the products being acquired.
  • Price and label items appropriately based on our computerized system and pricing guidelines.
  • Efficiently and accurately tag items purchased from customers.
  • Keep the sales floor well-stocked, bin, label, and organize merchandise for back stock.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store.

Qualifications:

  • Reliability is a must—arrive for scheduled shifts on time and ready to work.
  • Team-oriented attitude.
  • Friendly, courteous, and helpful demeanor towards customers, their children, and fellow team members.
  • High energy and motivation to meet customer demands.
  • Ability to perform effectively, efficiently, and safely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enjoy working independently on assigned tasks and projects.
  • Anticipate customer and process needs, prioritize effectively, and troubleshoot to ensure excellent service.
  • Good listening skills and quick learning ability.
  • Constructively communicate ideas and concerns with team members and management.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours daily.
  • Capable of lifting 40 pounds (bins containing merchandise) without assistance.
  • Able to bend, rotate, and reach as required in a retail setting.
  • Proficient in operating a computerized sales terminal.
  • No exposure to hazardous materials or environments.
