About the Job:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Peer Support Specialist. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing direct support to individuals struggling with substance use issues.

Key Responsibilities:

\
  • \
  • Provide peer support to individuals working towards recovery\
  • Work with families to stabilize their homes and prevent placement disruptions\
  • Conduct substance use screenings and administer contingency management rewards\
  • Maintain accurate records and tracking tools\
  • Network with local communities and participate in outreach events\
  • Serve as an additional resource for Practitioners to support youth and family engagement\
  • Attend meetings to discuss cases and provide support\
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently\
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals\
  • Communicate effectively with diverse populations\
  • Operate a vehicle safely and efficiently\
  • Meet all background check and medical clearance requirements\
  • Travel statewide as needed\
  • Foster a positive work environment and maintain confidentiality\
  • Budget: Estimated salary range is $40,000-$60,000 annually, commensurate with experience\

Requirements:

  • \
  • High school diploma or GED required\
  • Peer Support Specialist certification preferred\
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a related field required\
  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred\
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and time-management skills\
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365\
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with diverse populations\
  • Collaboration and teamwork\
  • A valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and car registration\
  • Authorization for a motor vehicle records check\
  • Meet all background check and medical clearance requirements\
  • Willingness to travel statewide as needed\

Physical Requirements:

This position requires sitting, standing, walking, driving, carrying, and lifting up to 25 pounds, as well as operating desktop, laptop, and/or cell phone and communicating with colleagues.
