Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Elementary Teacher to join our team at Southside ISD. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing students with a supportive and engaging learning environment, promoting academic growth and development, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve educational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and needs
  • Provide individualized attention and support to students, addressing their academic and emotional needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver instruction, ensuring a cohesive and effective learning experience
  • Assess student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and adjusting instruction accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders, keeping them informed of student progress and achievements
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, staying up-to-date with best practices and educational trends
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements
  • At least one year of student teaching or approved internship experience
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and adapt to changing circumstances
