Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented New Patient Intake Specialist to join our team at Oncology Consultants P A. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating the delivery of patient demographic information, medical records, and patient medical history to the clinical staff prior to the first appointment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule new patient appointments and receive phone calls or walk-in new patients
  • Complete New Patient Intake form accurately and enter demographic details into two systems (NextGen/ARIA)
  • Obtain all records for the upcoming appointment and ensure chart is complete and prepared for the patient visit
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the clinical team
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in Medical Office procedures
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure in a high-volume office environment
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Familiarity with HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, and ability to gather information and complete new patient intake form accurately
  • Strong computer skills and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and set priorities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual Spanish or Vietnamese
Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and type, and reach with hands and arms.
