The SLPA will collaborate closely with licensed Speech Language Pathologists to support the evaluation and treatment of individuals facing communication challenges.

Key Details:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed Speech Language Pathologists in performing screenings and evaluations of speech, language, and communication abilities.
  • Execute therapy plans developed by Speech Language Pathologists to meet personalized treatment objectives.
  • Deliver direct therapy services to clients under the guidance of licensed professionals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and therapy sessions.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare team members and communicate effectively with clients and their families.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related discipline.
  • Completion of an accredited Speech Language Pathologist Assistant program.
  • Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) or eligibility for certification in California.
  • Previous experience in an educational setting is preferred.
