Key Responsibilities of a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA):
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, meal service, feeding, mobility support, and positioning.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents.
- Complete necessary documentation and reports promptly.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations in performing duties.
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Unit Manager, Director of Nursing, or Administrator.
Qualifications for a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA):
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- Prior experience in long-term care is preferred but not mandatory.
