Key Responsibilities of a Geriatric Nursing Assistant:

  • Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, meal service, feeding, mobility, and positioning.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and reports promptly.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations in the performance of duties.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisory staff.

Qualifications for Geriatric Nursing Assistants:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • Previous experience in long-term care is preferred but not mandatory.
