Job Summary:

South College is seeking a dedicated Clinical Coordinator to join our experienced team in Asheville, NC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clinical sites and preceptors to ensure high-quality educational experiences for students.
  • Travel throughout Western North Carolina to identify and establish new clinical sites, as well as conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Coordinate student placements at clinical sites, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for all parties involved.
  • Provide guidance and support to students and preceptors on rotation schedules, student progress, and performance.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure students meet accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with the curriculum development team to ensure clinical education meets accreditation standards.
  • Deliver instruction to students during clinical phases, assessing their performance and providing feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs, including Exxat logs, to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Assist with the preparation of accreditation documents, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of scholarship and service activities that promote the college's mission and values.
  • Participate in student advising and committee work, providing expertise and guidance to support student success.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
  • Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited program.
  • Eligible for licensure in North Carolina.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in teaching or clinical settings.
