Secondary English Language Arts Educator

Position Overview:
We are in search of a passionate and skilled Secondary English Language Arts Special Education Teacher for the upcoming academic year. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in both English instruction and special education, emphasizing the creation of inclusive and engaging learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with varied learning requirements.
- Plan and implement differentiated instruction in English language arts, covering reading, writing, speaking, and listening competencies.
- Employ innovative teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and therapeutic needs.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of educators, therapists, and support personnel to address student objectives and progress.
- Regularly evaluate student performance and modify instructional strategies as needed.
- Encourage a supportive classroom atmosphere that fosters academic growth, social-emotional development, and self-advocacy skills.
- Maintain effective communication with parents/guardians regarding student achievements, goals, and progress.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, English Education, or a related field.
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience with high school students with mild to moderate therapeutic needs is preferred.
- Knowledge of effective instructional strategies and accommodations for students with disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
