Job Summary

Foothill De Anza Community College District is seeking a qualified Part-Time Horticulture Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching horticulture courses and contributing to the development of our students.

Responsibilities
  • Teach horticulture courses, including landscape design, landscape construction, fine gardening, and plant production.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the needs of our students and the industry.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to improve student outcomes.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Horticulture, Botany, or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching and curriculum development.
  • Strong knowledge of horticultural principles and concepts.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in landscape design, landscape construction, fine gardening, or plant production.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends if necessary.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in an indoor office environment and will be required to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time.
