Senior Patient Service Representative

The Senior Patient Service Representative is responsible for delivering exceptional patient experiences, ensuring accurate and timely communication, and providing administrative support to ensure seamless patient care. This role requires a high level of autonomy, with minimal direction, to perform routine duties associated with patient registration, appointment scheduling, and payment collection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check in and out patients, collect co-payments, and reconcile payments
- Schedule appointments, complete patient registration, and collect patient payments
- Coordinate administrative support activities, including facilities management, patient billing, and quality management
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, physicians, patients, and departments
- Monitor and update department-specific data, and participate in lean management processes
- Manage physician master schedules, coordinate schedule changes, and handle patient/provider correspondence
- Process and track referrals and authorizations for various insurance types
- Monitor patient care flow, assist with monitoring CS-Link message pools, and standard work
- Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients using administrative knowledge
- Participate in daily huddles and staff meetings to improve positive and effective partnerships
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Three (3) years of Patient Service Representative or Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient medical office setting required
