As a vital member of the Store Management Team, the Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in achieving exceptional customer engagement and driving sales performance. This position supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, focusing on sales enhancement, delivering outstanding customer service, recruiting exceptional talent, and mentoring the team. Collaborating closely with the Store Manager, the Retail Operations Supervisor ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and initiatives, while maintaining high store standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contributes to overall store performance by meeting sales targets and individual sales objectives.
- Delivers exceptional customer service by providing personalized styling and wardrobe advice, setting a benchmark for customer engagement.
- Builds and nurtures client relationships to drive store sales and generate excitement about our brand through proactive outreach.
- Maintains effective communication with the Store Manager regarding personal goals, team development, and daily operations, ensuring timely updates on operational matters.
- Assists in training, coaching, and motivating team members to maximize sales productivity.
- Serves as a knowledgeable resource on store operations and ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
- Supports recruitment efforts to attract top talent and retains employees who contribute to sales growth.
- Helps manage payroll and scheduling to ensure adequate staffing based on business needs.
- In the absence of the Store Manager, oversees all daily operations of the store.
- Represents the brand and ensures team members embody brand values in all customer interactions.
- Executes directives from Visual Merchandising, Operations, and Marketing, ensuring effective communication and timely completion of tasks.
- Ensures adherence to Loss Prevention policies and assists with financial audits and inventory management to mitigate losses.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Able to meet and exceed performance expectations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in cash register operations and cash handling procedures.
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative.
- 3+ years of relevant sales experience in specialty or luxury retail, coupled with 1-2 years of management experience.
- Repetitive hand motions while operating cash register or computer.
- Regular interaction with the public in a busy retail environment.
- Standing for the duration of the work shift.
- Ability to operate office equipment (computers, phones, fax machines, scanners, and copiers).
- Availability to work weekends and evenings.
- Capability to climb ladders as necessary.
- Ability to bend, lift, open, and move products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional travel may be required with little advance notice.
