Job Overview
This role involves a comprehensive range of sanitation services and related tasks essential for maintaining the premises in a tidy and organized state.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, and restocking various areas such as hallways, offices, break rooms, restrooms, and other designated spaces.
  • Dust surfaces at various heights and ensure all areas are wiped down and cleaned thoroughly.
  • Manage waste disposal by removing and transporting trash to designated disposal locations.
  • Utilize appropriate cleaning equipment and solutions for each task effectively.
  • Keep cleaning carts and storage areas organized and in good condition.
  • Assist with laundry services and linen management as needed.
  • May receive training in housekeeping and laundry services and be required to perform those tasks.
  • Restock guest supplies and amenities as necessary.
  • May perform floor maintenance tasks such as scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and buffing using the correct equipment.
  • May be responsible for changing light bulbs and conducting minor facility maintenance.
  • Recognize and apply proper personal protective equipment (PPE) for various tasks.
  • Comply with all safety policies, training, and requirements.
  • Report any discrepancies, damages, or theft to the appropriate personnel.
  • Additional duties relevant to the success of the department may be assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience demonstrating knowledge of cleaning equipment and processes.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and on-call duties.
  • Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.

Work Environment: Indoor/Outdoor (occasional exposure to moderate weather conditions)
Noise Level: Moderate
Office Conditions: Medium-paced work environment
Customer Interaction: High
Description of Environment: This position is situated within an assisted living facility.
Physical Requirements: The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers for handling, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry or lift weight.
